We are seeking a strong Plant HR Manager who is a strategic business partner with strong generalist experience with union experience in a plant environment and strong payroll knowledge.  This role is a part of the plant leadership team reporting directly to the Plant Manager.     
This role is located in Central Indiana, about 66 miles (106 km) east by southeast of Indianapolis

Job Responsibilities:
  • Drive the Performance Management and Succession Planning Process.
  • Ensure compliance with laws, regulations and company values, and company policies and procedures.
  • Administer all aspects of salaried and hourly payroll and job evaluation process.
  • Serves as driving force and an enabler to provide proactive change management practices and help drive the Safety Culture at the facility.
  • Develop and support people systems to promote the lean manufacturing culture.
  • Proactively provide consultation to management regarding changes that affect employee relations.
  • Lead location-wide employee recognition system.
  • Develop and lead a community relations strategy.
  • Technical expertise in Human Resources
  • Recruiting, staffing and placement functions for the facility. Administer the internal bidding process for salaried and hourly positions; recruit externally as needed.
Position Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 5-7 years of HR Management/Supervision in a Manufacturing Plant
  • Union experience is a MUST
  • HR Generalist experience
